Located in Honaunau, at 1,800' elevation,
Kona Purple Mountain Coffee is on the western slope of Mauna Loa,
the Kona side of the Big Island, Hawaii.
Established in 1976, we are a family farm and have been, and continue to this day, the tradition of coffee farming. We also grow a wide variety of bananas and fruit trees, as well as macadamia nuts, breadfruit and avocados, and staples such as taro and sweet potato, all grown using organic methods. Our prime location and rich fertile volcanic soil are optimal growing conditions for producing a most Excellent Kona coffee.
Kona Purple Mountain is a single-origin estate handcrafted Kona, and is produced and processed implementing traditional methods whereby cherry processing is done on-site and is 100% sun dried on “hoshidanas” (wooden platform decks).
